Pain is weakness leaving the body (and mind as well in this case).

I get the results from my last medical board exam i took three months ago on wednesday and needed to blow off some steam and ease my anxiety, so i went to the downtown artist space here in downtown LA and made some shit happen.

trued up the sides of the neck for my roasted maple build. and routed the neck pocket for the burl maple (will be in the main thread).
Here's the progress on the roasted maple . Next step is to radius this damn thing... if anyone has an easier way to radius i'd love to hear it.

Thanks dude!!! when i saw them i felt proud! bedroom building has stepped up a notch!!!. i gotta pay 15 bucks an hour at the shop (super lax hour pricing) but still its money so i plan to do a bunch in a short amount of time and the rest i have to manage at my apartment. im pretty happy with the way things are going. i spend less on eating outside and more on shoptime. its a win win really lol.

    +1 on those joints!
On the Radius thing, i built a compound radius jig, but i am thinking there still should be a better way. Mine is too big and only does the fretboard alone, not on the neck.

You hate radiusing? When doing a 16" radius? Go and do a 10" or something ;)
Well, it's not one of my favourite tasks either. It's easier with an unglued board I guess.
Really nice rosewood by the way!

havent been on here in a while......

this one is for a regular customer, he came in and saw the blue stained flame fingerboard neck i made and wanted it built on to a l/p style axe. once i cap the headstock, it will get blue bursted also.

this is something off the wall, i was bored the other night, and got a bug up my ass to do something totally different.....no plan, quick sketch and flying by the seat of my pants. a little while later, i ended up with this......

going to put skull inlays in the neck, and i havent finalized my thoughts on the headstock, but possibly a couple bones sticking up in like a v shape slightly carved like the body. i may still airbrush the pickup, not sure, and while ive never been a fan of guitars without pickup rings, i may see how that looks too if i paint the pickup.....im also still entertaining the thought of red led's in the eyes, and a spring steel contact behind the trem block so they light when you use the floyd......
