    Hi there,

I'm new to the forum so please forgive me.
I'm in the process of customising a guitar kit, it is a quilted maple Les Paul and I've been asked to stain the top PINK, I've spent days trying to find a pink transparent stain that will show the grain of the quilted maple.
does anybody here know where I could find a pink stain or if there is a way to make a pink stain i.e thinning a red stain down?

I'll look fwd to hearing your replies.

    Many Thanks

    SteveTheArtist

Aniline dye is neither, it's alcohol based. I use it all the time. Just a powder you dissolve in alcohol.

Thanks again Adam, the product sounds perfect but as I feared the supplier doesn't ship to the UK, you Americans have all the best woodworking supplies! I honestly didn't think it'd be that hard to Pink stain in the UK.
