okay, so I built a thinline hollowbody. It has a single pickup with the shielded wire running to the volume control inside the body cavity. The wire hangs lose but tends to touch the top or back in places. I am getting sympathetic vibrations which produce a distorted acoustic sound on certain notes. It's driving me nuts and totally distracts from the purity of the acoustic tone. There is no impact to the electronic signal.
I'm thinking the wiring needs to be taught so it won't contact the vibrating plates but I don't want to place additional stress on the soldered joints.

    How do others address this?

Use some foam tape to anchor the wiring to the body wood.
