Here is a higher res pick of one of the two I finished last week oops missed some buffing dross at the neck, and the other Tribute Both built on spec let me know if interested.
Didn't do any guitar work this week. My daughter wants to go to MIT and work on propulsion for NASA, so we're starting with this.
Finished my first bass this weekend. Sapele body, maple cap, maple neck w/ rosewood board. Automotive urethane clear, red pearl basecoat on the neck. Love the Hipshot tuners and bridge. GFS JPro pickups for now. Cherry cover plate on the back. I used 6 threaded inserts for the neck attachment, so that's 6 machine screws holding it on. Overkill? Maybe. I'm waiting a couple days to let things settle in before I adjust the truss rod - there's a bit too much relief as is.
Finished this Roswell style not long ago. It gathered a bit of dust after finishing so apologies for that.
Oil finish. super natural feeling, although the wenge one is... augmented.. with some metallic type stuff. =]
College football inspired... GO TIGERS! Alder body, maple neck, stainless frets, bubinga fretboard and cover plate, 25" scale, Gotoh vintage tuners, Kent Armstrong Stealth 90s (really dig these pups!), automotive basecoats (Standox solvent-base) and urethane clear (SPI Euro 2020).
Just finished these up from prep for this weekends deliveries. Sorry bout the cell phone pics. Running out of time to set up and take high res pics.
