I found some links to a site forum with a bunch of plans the other day while hunting around that maybe of use to someone.

Not sure where I got the links, may of even been MLP or following links from there.I think they are all free to use but not 100% on that as one sites German and I don't speak it. If there is any issues maybe Alex can remove the links/post I guess?

    Anyways here you go :-

    https://sites.google.com/site/guitarbuildingplans/acoustic-plans

    &

    http://www.gitarrebassbau.de

If I remember correctly, google translate did some odd things to the page and links so you may be better off muddling through in German.

    Hope this helps someone :hmm:

I've been collecting plans from the web in the PDF format for quite a while, and have a ton of them. Full guitars, bodies, necks, pickguards, control covers, TRC's, ect. It would be great if we could post them up somewhere around here for other members to have access to. whatcha think?

If you wanted an easy way to share I think the biggest free shareable space atm is skydrive, just requires a hotmail account that you can make up just for plans. 7gig of shareable space. Could always make a 2nd or 3rd email for more space. [email protected], [email protected] n so on. Dump the stuff in the sky drive, make public n post linkies here?

I'm rambling its late here :D

But maybe Alex has room where this forum is?

I think this is a great idea.

If you have a gmail account, you can use google sites or drive to host the files. This is what I do for all of my thread pics. I just create another site when I run out of space.

Have y'all set up anything like this? Google Drive could be a good place to put them.

That GitarreBassBau.de ? Foren-√úbersicht ? Gitarrenbau, Bassbau site has recently gone the way of the dodo....at least I can't hit it from work, and I was able to only a week ago.

I really wanted to grab everything on that site; looks like I may have missed my chance.

Downloads fine, and looks like it's all to scale (don't hold me to that though), thanks for the 59' LP plans :D

The 1959 Les Paul plan loaded fine, but the custom and 335 require a password.

Okay, if they all work now I'll start a new thread with links to as many files as my skydive account will hold. I'll have to do a bunch of uploading so it may take a day or two.

Rather than share out each plan, you can just put them in your "Public" folder and post the link to that. Or, if you prefer, you can right-click any folder and select "Sharing". Follow the prompts to share with everyone without requiring them to sign in.

This way, anything you put in the folder is automatically available.
