Logo Design : What's the creative process behind yours?

    i drew this for my son couple of years ago...i used it on his neck plate and will be used on the headstocks and somehow to be used on the fretboard inlays

    Part of my background from long ago is desktop publishing, which is basically a skill set in manipulating text and graphics on a screen. I still use that today. I also use a program that is useful for drawing shapes, which is called Geometer's Sketchpad. I also seek out fonts I like on the web. Using these 3 avenues, I've made myself different logos for my business name, as well as a number of alternative names for the business I've thought of that I could change it to, in the event something precluded me from using my own name. As far as the creative process goes, I just look at logo designs I like from various decades of the 20th century, and draw inspiration from those.
