About to finish another guitar in lacquer and again thinking on how to keep the finish out of the bridge and stop bar holes. I have tried tissue, thin scrunched plastic, Plasticine and just shot lacquer straight over them and cleaned up after. Inevitably I will lose finish when pulling the fill or have it shatter when tapping in the bushings. Worst thing is time consuming lacquer repairs putting a barrier between the customers cash and my wallet. Any one with a tip? greatly appreciated and thanks in advance
