TKO posted a bunch of plans here http://www.luthiertalk.com/forums/plans-designs-software/75-multiple-plans.html -John
If you can't even read the threads in the topic of which you post in......good God that's the hight of all lazyness. Could I have made it any easier?????
I for sure looked there. That's the first place I did look. You posted the DC Jr and I'm looking for the LP Standard Double Cut. Like this... If the Jr is the same thing then I'll remove said foot from my mouth. I just don't know if they are?
Hmmm... just add a 24 fret neck, second pickup, a switch and a carved top and there's your Standard DC
Woot. Thanks so much. This will be my first build as I'm still a big noob to all of this. Sorry for the confusion guys. My bad
I'm not an expert, so I don't really know - but it seems that those are the differences between Jr. and Standard. Hopefully someone wiser says something also.
use in 59 LP plans with the DC JR body shape. I will admit this might not be so straight foward to someone new to the game. Good luck with the build
Gamble, I built this by modding the 59 LP plans to suit for the body shape. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CR1IhHI--U&feature=related"]Boudreau Guitars - Building a Carved top LP Double Cut. - YouTube[/ame]
Thanks for all the info guys. I have the Bartlett 59 plans at the house that I will Frankenstein with the DC Jr and see what I come up with. TKO, I remember this build from the MLP forums. I hated you had to sell her. Real nice piece this was. Hopefully going to be starting in the next few months on my first build. Finishing build on my shop at the moment. -Joe
Yeah, I hated that I had to sell it also, but it's paying off my doubleneck so it ok with me. Good luck with the build, thoes are the same plans I used. I would suggest making copies of your plans first and using the copies for your templates. Looking foward to a build thread from you, my friend.
