Custom Flying V in White Korina

    A little side project I have been working on for a customer.
    He gave me a drawing and told me to go for it and here it is.

    10' board of Korina:

    Body Template out of 1/2 MDF

    Planned, edge joined and glued up body blank:
    NOTE THE FLAME !

    Body rough cut on Band Saw:

    Test fitting of neck in pocket:

    Routed for 2 Strat style Humbuckers a Wilkerson Trem and a Strat style jack on the edge of the lower wing:

    Finish applied ( Customer hands me a can of Minwax Polyurethane and says use this :shock: )

    Very nice! What did that Wilton set you back? That thing is a monster! I have a little 4" Wilton, economy style. Got rid of my mechanics vice when we moved.

    And what was so awesome was I didn't know it was flamed until I ran it through the planer :yesway:

    I picked out a good piece ha ? :cool:

    I don't recall what the neck was made out of..the Customer got it from Warmoth and being I'm at work I can't even
    see the picture of it !
