i actually forgot these pickups had legs, for some reason i thought it was flush mounted but then i remember i changed my pickup order last minute.

for these i routed about 0.6 in deep and then forstnered the sides a tad bit more. It works for triangle feet but seymour duncans feet require more to be removed.

Roasted maple is one coat of wax away from being completely done. The burl maple body is complete and waxed and just needs it neck carved.

Im pretty proud of these two

    As always, absolutely gorgeous!

So would you recommend the other Odie's products? I really like the original Odie's Oil and keep meaning to try their stuff.

I would definitely give them a shot. I like how friendly the products are. Both to my hands, my nose and cleanup is easy. I say reach out to the company see if they can send you a sample to try. Its good stuff, I bought it on a whim and was glad i did.

i've been trying to really keep everything in check, i'l be able to give you a final word later next week when i buff out the wax. They said you can take it up to a very high shine but i really like this lustre im getting so im stopping before my need to keep doing things takes hold lol. Im applying the first coat of wax now.

The wood butter was really nice, it was like adding a few coats of oil and started the wax process. its consistency is like a soft wax, a bit thicker than applesauce.

my next review will be after i've used the guitar for a bit just to see how it wears. I love wear and tear on my guitar but it needs to be a gradual process. so we'll see!

do you have to do any special treatment for the knots in the burl maple? I'd seen a video where I guy was filling knots in with glue to try to keep good density, but then again, must of his body was one knot, so it was more likely to have effect

i actually just left these open, if they were in more precarious areas i'd have filled them with epoxy and sawdust. I like the open look, seems more real when i put my hands over it.

Great work Alex. I love the subtle finish on the Roasted Maple topped guitar. Looks so rich. Keep up the good work buddy.

Looks very harmonious! Nice job on the bevel ;)
Your headstock angle looks as steep as a Gibson.

    Here's my new personal build.

i've been dying to have something with humbuckers in it and now i finally have one. the other one has BKP P90's which i love.. but i miss that chug of a P90. This one is 26 scale Dimarzio Dominions tuned to Bb.

The Lollar P90s I've got in the Deep Eddy model have that chug. They can go all the way from brutal death metal to glissening gorgeous cleans and everything in between.

You're holding it upside down though :io:
