Mahogany top and sides over a walnut back . My walnut .
That is a Martin 1 piece mahogany neck and block . Carved volute and book matched flamed walnut headstock veneer .
Sycamore binding with mulberry end graft and heel cap .
    Scalloped 1/4" bracing .

Ah yes, 1/4" braces, she'll be singing sweelty.
Wood binding steals the show every time.
    Very nice Mr. Hound!

Looks great! What kind of finish did you use?

How would you describe the tone?

It is satin Sherwin Williams nitro . The finish is the work of Dale Bartholomew .
The odd part is that I have not had a good chance to hear it played .
From what I have heard , I have liked it .
Also , I am lefty , so playing it is a very limited proposition for me .

    Damn, that happens.....
Not like you can go into your local woods and cut down a fresh one of that species.....
