Yeah, it came up on my Google Music as a new release. It's damned good too.

I've got a bass in the mix right now, so I've been spinning Primus more than usual :D

I like to listen to standup sometimes in the shop, was listening to the newest Tom Segura yesterday ("Completely Normal"), pretty damned hilarious.

Pretty much anything by them. They're very much in the same vein as God was an Astronaut. Big, epic-sounding atmospheric post rock.

I tend to do this a lot too. I'll listen to podcasts, vloggers, debates, lectures, standup, etc. just to change the pace and not burn myself out on my favorite music.

Yep, do a bunch of podcasts. Star Talk w/ Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Joe Rogan, Greg Proops, Doug Benson, Kevin Smith stuff, etc. Any you'd recommend?

Haha, I'll go on long Joe Rogan PC binges... I'll have to check out some of the others that you mentioned.

One that springs to mind is Doug Stanhope's. Dude's my hero. I also keep meaning to check out Adam Carolla's podcast.

I also listen to the SourceFed podcast and short Youtube shows like Good Mythical Morning and old TYT clips, but that's almost entirely for background noise. Not a whole lot of value offered there.

Doug Stanhope's podcast is pretty good, haven't listened to a ton of episodes though. Adam Corolla's recent appearance on Joe Rogan's podcast got me really interested in checking his out, but I forgot to add it to my PodKicker app.

Check out Getting Doug with High if you want great background noise.

Haha same here. Plus I like Adam Carolla in general.

    I'll have to do that!

I have an antique 30 gig brick sized mp3 player loaded with lots of different stuff. Goth, metal, rock, blues, jazz, 80-90's rap, old country, 80's pop, classical, industrial, and random stuff. I keep it on shuffle. Usually it sticks to certain stuff for awhile, sometimes I will hear something I didn't know I had heard before. Very strange when that happens but cool. I swear it has taken on a life.

Currently it seems to be sticking with a lot of Neurosis, Arkona, Graveyard Train, and Run DMC.

As for getting older and death metal... I do listen to less death metal these days and don't really bother looking for new bands. Mostly because I listen to such a variety of music now. I do like a lot of the new stuff that is not so purely death metal but still extreme. One example that was actually recommended via Facebook post by Behemoth is Obscure Sphinx.
