It's a spruce top capped with CF. I didn't dare try it myself. Took it to a guy who does high end vintage race car & track stuff.

Then I hope he is wearing breathing protection .
CF fibers are nasty little buggers that you do not want to introduce into your lungs .
I have been around the product from when I was road racing motorcycles .

He makes his living building things from the stuff. I'm sure he's safe with it.

    a tad pic heavy.....

just acquired a Kramer nightswan that was pretty thrashed body wise on a trade in for some work. someone routed a single coil in the neck, added a couple extra control holes, and it was chewed up under one side of the Floyd. I plugged the neck p/u rout, and tried something new to alleviate any glue joint lines that end up showing after the finish shrinks or the wood moves. I pressed the plug in below the top aboit 1/8 inch, drilled a few angled holes and banged some crosshatch nicks in the plug with a chisel to allow the fiberglass resin I poured in to grab better. taped the control holes in back and filled those too, and taped around the trem rout and filled the damage. sanded flat, primed, painted white, and airbrushed the "Aztec" Kramer finish on it.

    Thx knarbens!

It is Alnico-V :hmm: It shall be marked on the box. I should probably change my stickers to note that though eh? lol

This one is not meant for neck or bridge specifically...at 7.4k though it's probably better in the neck though. I'll let the pickup's owner decide on that though lol

Refinishing the top on a Custom Shop Les Paul. It's sealed and pore filled now, tomorrow I'll start throwing lacquer on. This is for a shop/builder I'm working part time for.
