Hi all. I have strange question, I could use your help.

I did own Cort HBS / Hiram Bullock guitar in the past. To make story super short. It had the best neck finish I've ever tried. Like smooth as butter, super super fast, non sticky. I can't find any info of that finish ...

The thing is; in the future I would love to have replica of that neck, but I just can't identify finish.

Has anyone ever made neck with Tung Oil?

I would describe that neck as again, super super fast, non sticky ... smooth as butter. I've heard some Fender Stratocasters have that same finish.

It's not neck like Gibsonish huge lacquer with slow neck .... It's not like super sticky like other necks.

Could that be Tung Oil finish?

Yes, Tung oil, Tung oil/Teak oil or Tru-oil. Sand bare neck very smooth, apply 2 or 3 coats per bottle instructions. After dry, wax with MinWax paste wax or similar.
