    Hey!

I made a plan for a 5 string fretless bass with a neck I have, but after finishing it I realised it was pretty big and I'm having a hard time finding pieces of wood big enough for this project and I hope I won't have to make it all over again :ohno:
So I'd like to know what are the measures of an average sized bass, thanks! :)

Average...I suppose that mostly means Fender. The bodies are 13-14" wide and 20-21" long. Overall length is usually between 44 and 46 inches.

You start having a hard time finding a case that will fit if you go over 14.5" wide and 23" long on the body, or over 48" overall length.

Most cases have their internal dimensions listed by the manufacturer or retailer. Musician's Friend (http://www.musiciansfriend.com/) is a good resource for this information.
