Hello everyone, I am a guitar amateur and i am trying to start a 59 les paul build. Does anyone have the bartlett plan to something similar that are accurate. Sorry for the possible double post, i tried finding links to the plans that other people posted but they were not active anymore. Many thanks in advance for all your help. I am planning to use buckeye burl for the top, inlays and headstock veneer. I trying searching on the internet for something like this but i could not find anything. Is there an issue with the wood? Thank you so much for all the help. Have a great day.
Wow, you picked a high difficulty guitar to build for a novice! Might I suggest you try a cheap Chinese LP kit first just to get the idea of what is involved? Otherwise you're looking at a very steep learning curve and lots of frustration.
here's the Bartlett link: https://bartlettguitarparts.com/products/plans As for buckeye burl, burls are very difficult to season properly, so they are not used often, but they will work. Hard to get flat stock.
