    Please understand that this is only an observation .
    First , that appears to be nice work .
    That piece of metal on the top surface apparently makes this guitar shrill and very tinny sounding if what we are told about top wood choice is correct .
    After all , how warm sounding can a piece of what appears to be machine turned metal sound ?
    Let the tone wood slings and arrows fly .

    It is a very bright guitar, but the pickups were custom wound to compensate for it. IMO the pickups matter more than the wood, but the materails still affect things.
