Yeah but I decided against it. If it didn't have dogear pickups I would have.

Love that. I did the low tech version of that on the fanned 8, did rosewood binding and tried to match the grain, it's basically undetectable.

It's a good method and works well on darker woods (rosewood, ebony, wenge, etc) :)

Here are a few shots of an SG (ish) that I finished a couple months ago. Nitro satin finish. African Blackwood pickguard and cavity cover. Curly Maple body with Macassar Ebony top and carbon fiber rear end. Maple neck with Walnut burl headstock. All opinions welcomed as I am very green when it comes to the building end of things.

Very cool! Sorry to bring it up, but it looks like there are plugs where TOM bridge posts would be?

Also, I have one of those little Aria Birdie amps, but mine has the Loco nameplate on it.

No need to be sorry. That's why I posted it. There are definitely plugs there. This was my very first attempt at building a guitar. When I realized that the template I had was not right, it was too late and I had already drilled the holes. That was my first lesson learned and I will never do that again. LOL.

I had actually put this guitar away for a few years while I learned some other hard lessons while building and then went back and plugged the holes to finish it.

BTW, I picked up the amp for $5 at a flea market. It was holding up a shelf full of old camcorders. LOL
