Having been a fan of Peavey basses for a while I recently bought the parts
    from a T 40.

The seller picked it up in a pawnshop in Sofia,Bulgaria where some crazy person had trimmed round the pickguard in an attempt to lighten the weight.

So the bridge, pots, pups etc are on the way only I've no body for them. The original plan was to use a spare Foundation body,a T 40 neck fits the pocket perfectly but it's a 20 fret and the Foundation's 19 so there's no way the bridge will fit.

I've got a source for Swamp Ash but no template for the build, size of blank is 495mm long by 400mm wide and 44mm thick. Kinda in limbo just now as until the parts arrive I don't know if this will be big enough.

Can anyone supply me with some measurements regarding the T 40, I'll worry about the wiring once I get the thing together.

    Cheers KB

    Thanks

I'd already contacted the seller, sadly with shipping, customs and taxes it comes to nearer
$190. That's getting on for another 30% added to the build. Would make things a whole lot easier but then I'd be as well just buying a T 40 complete.

    I never thought of that.

Great idea,I asked another owner about sizes but no word as yet. I know the bridge
will never fit the Foundation body though.

    Thanks again

    Quick update.

I tried lots of places last night, couple of folks offered to sell but wouldn't help with a tracing. Then a fella on FB suggested enlarging a photograph.

Got this one on a Telecaster site and blew it up till the neck pocket measured 59mm.

Think I'm good to go now. Photos will be posted as it progresses in the hope somebody spots a looming disaster.

Did you end up getting or making a template for the t-40?
I've been looking for a template myself but haven't been able to find one yet.
