One-piece Necks / Stable Woods

    I really like one-piece necks and know mahogany and maple work fine.

    On the other hand I read multiple times that one-piece wenge necks for instance are prone to movement.

    I know that a straight grain and other factors are prefered, but in general – What types of wood are a good choice for a one piece necks?
