I have a 1993 Ovation 1885 12-string. I played it every day for about 8 years, the last 2 mostly for my brother while he was dying from cancer. After he died it seemed as though I had lost my passion for the instrument, and I just loosened the strings and put it back in it's case and put it away. I took it out last year and much to my surprised the neck had warped some, and the strings had risen close to the body . I took it to the local Guitar Center, where the tech adjusted the neck some, but recommended that I really should have a luthier look at it. Can anyone recommend a real good luthier in the Houston, Texas area?

Oh man, sorry to hear about your brother. Cancer SUCKS!

Sorry, don't know, but Google "luthier Houston Texas." Lots of places to call and/or research reviews.

Was the tech able to straighten the neck and make it playable?
