Have You Ever Heard Teak Wood?

    I have seen a lot of teak......it's pretty common here actually for furniture. Never seen a guitar made of it though, interesting :)

    Teak is oily and dense. Not a great choice for any guitar, acoustic or electric.

    Teak is very hard. and not the eazyest wood to work with. Its hard on all Blades and router Bits.I use to use Teak along with Oak when building Jewelry boxes.Its also pretty costly$. The only Other wood that I have tried to work with that was Harder than Teak was Iron wood.

    I've come across it/have used for making furniture but never for a guitar
