hey i was wondering if a i use the plans sold at lmii or stewmac to build a acoustic or ukulele can i sell the instrument. or is that considered copying a patented design or something like that. i plan on playing around with different bracing and making it my own design but dont want anybody coming after me if i do happen to sell one built to exact specs.

I clone RICS, but for myself and friends. Rickenbacker is THE most proprietary-conscious bunch the world has ever known, so I would probably have 17 RIC lawyers on my doorstep if I sold one. You, however would probably not have that problem, but if you are concerned, (forewarned is forearmed) I'd advise you to consult your kit supplier, just sayin'!
